PMQ live updates as Boris Johnson prepares to face MPs over Savile slur, cost of living, partygate and Ukraine
Under-pressure Boris Johnson will be hoping he doesn't make his precarious situation worse at Prime Minister's Questions today (Wednesday, February 9).
Last week, his false claim linking Sir Keir Starmer with the failure to prosecute serial sex offender Jimmy Savile prompted widespread dismay in MPs of all parties.
Mr Johnson's refusal to apologise has been condemned by many and prompted a rebuke by Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle in the wake of a mob targeting Sir Keir on Monday, some of whom echoed comments made by Mr Johnson.
Concerns about partygate, as well as the cost-of-living crisis, Ukraine, tax rises, and the health service are also likely to feature among the questions.
We'll bring you all the build-up to PMQ's at noon and live coverage in the blog below.
