Player Ratings: Tony Kelly leads Clare to All-Ireland glory with commanding performance

Clare pipped Cork by the narrowest of margins after 100 minutes of incredible hurling action, here we rate the performances of both sides.

Eibhear Quilligan - 7

Early distribution wasn't finding Clare players including one out over the left sideline, picked out David Fitzgerald in space for a lovely score in the 22nd minute, made massive save from Robbie O'Flynn strike in extra time.

Adam Hogan - 7

Was roasted by Patrick Horgan in 25th minute but Cork player saw his effort hit the post and go wide. He was booked for pulling Alan Connolly's jersey off the ball in 28th minute but he managed to get the balance right thereafter.

Did well to keep Connolly out from scoring a goal in 54th minute (alongside Leen), did brilliantly to steal ball off Connolly in 62nd minute as Cork looked like they might be in for score.

Conor Cleary - 6

He was booked in the 23rd minute for a jersey pull on Hayes. Replaced by Darragh Lohan at the end of normal time.

Conor Leen - 7

He was dragged out of place by Patrick Horgan for opening Cork goal (doing his job), did brilliantly to put same player under pressure and won sideline cut deep in own half (44 mins).

Was alert to prevent Connolly from scoring a goal in 54th minute (alongside Hogan).

Diarmuid Ryan - 8

Scored a belter in the fifth minute to cut gap to one and followed it up with another 30 seconds later to even up the game. Gifted Cork possession as he tried to take a ball down over his head which allowed the Rebels to move four clear.

Exceptional take over his head in 30th minute and eventually fouled to give Clare chance to build attack which led to a point for Rodgers. Pushed one wide in 42nd minute after good play by Conlon to set up attack but made up for it with another point in
