PLAYER RATINGS: Stones and Rodri were dominant in disciplined display
Manchester City produced a disciplined performance to secure a fractious 0-0 draw at Atletico Madrid on Wednesday and reach the Champions League semi-finals 1-0 on aggregate.
Tensions boiled over in the closing stages and Atletico defender Felipe was sent off after receiving a second yellow card before the teams played out 12 minutes of added time.
Sportsmail's JACK GAUGHAN rated the players.
Jan Oblak - 6
Shakier than usual, coming and failing with a couple of first-half corners. Might have been tested more by the visitors.
Marcos Llorente – 6.5
Stuck to his task, which was sizeable once Phil Foden moved out to that side. Didn’t overcommit yet did enjoy getting involved in the second half.
Stefan Savic - 7
Very solid night until he lost his head. From a football point of view, he snuffed City out when they appeared to manufacture a man over on the hunt for an opener.
Felipe - 4
Arguably could have been given his marching orders before the half-hour but made up for it later with a horrible tackle on Phil Foden.
Reinildo - 7
Tough assignment tracking runners when through balls are slipped in behind. Struggled to start with but much improved later on.
Renan Lodi - 6
A genuine left back rather than wing back and the interceptions to turn City over were deep. Roamed further forward later on.
Antoine Griezmann – 6.5
Diligent in going backwards to help out Llorente but that hampered the France international when Atletico were breaking.
Geoffrey Kondogbia – 7.5
Some big early involvements whipped up the crowd. Then was later integral in Atletico winning the midfield battle.
Koke – 5.5
Largely ineffectual; just could not find the room to demand possession and get Atletico retaining the ball in City’s half.
Thomas Lemar - 6
