Pittsburgh Steelers: Reporter claims QB battle has an early front-runner

Reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala has dropped a big claim with regards to the quarterback situation of the Pittsburgh Steelers with Mitch Trubisky and Kenny Pickett.

The Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves in a position that they haven’t been in since the 2005 offseason, going into camp without Ben Roethlisberger leading the way and as the expected man under centre for the upcoming season.

Following his retirement the Steelers picked up former Chicago Bears QB Mitch Trubisky as a free agent before picking up the University of Pittsburgh’s Kenny Pickett with the #20 pick in April’s NFL Draft. 

With high expectations in the Steel City, and with plenty of people wondering when the team could make a run towards contending for a Super Bowl, deciding who takes the snaps this season is a pretty important one for the team to make. 

With OTAs underway, it’s a great chance for players like Pickett and Trubisky to really get to know their new teammates as they gradually start to gear up and get ready for the new season as they begin to take snaps and throw to their receivers.
