Piers Morgan Tells Arsenal To 'Break For Bank' And Bring In Chelsea Boss Thomas Tuchel To Replace Arteta

But the German boss, who guided the Blues to Champions League glory last season, insist he's still happy at the club amid the uncertainty.

And despite Arteta steering his side into the top four in the Premier League table, Morgan has urged the Gunners to sign Tuchel. 

However, he admits Arsenal won't make a move, but believes they should 'break the bank' for his coaching services. 

"Arsenal should break the bank for Thomas Tuchel. We won’t, but we should," he tweeted. ​

Morgan then responded to a journalist who said his claim was 'unfair' on Arteta. 

He tweeted: "I prefer facts to feelings. Arteta’s had 2yrs, and this season we’re not in Europe, were knocked out of both domestic cups in Jan, and are currently 21pts off the League leaders. (He also just gave our best striker away). Tuchel’s a proven world class manager who just won CL."

Responding to another critic who stated that Arteta is 'actually pretty good', Morgan replied: "Is he? Come back to me when we have a team that is competitive to win the Premier and/or Champions League."

"Given the events at Chelsea, United’s decision to wait until the end of the season presents them with a choice no-one could have foreseen. One of the best managers in the world – the current FIFA coach of the year – must be top of their list.

"Tuchel, like everyone else at Stamford Bridge, will have no idea what the future holds at his current club.
