Piers Morgan challenges Chelsea’s ‘weasel’ owner Roman Abramovich to prove he’s not a ‘Putin puppet’ by denouncing Russia war

Piers Morgan has called Roman Abramovich a ‘weasel’ and challenged Chelsea’s owner to prove he’s not a ‘Putin puppet’ by denouncing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

‘I have always taken decisions with the club’s best interest at heart,’ Abramovich said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust are ‘seeking urgent clarification’ over the impact of Abramovich’s decision to step back from running the club.

‘The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust is deeply saddened and shocked by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent loss of life,’ a statement
