Piers Morgan and Lee Dixon have Arsenal Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Twitter row over transfer

Piers Morgan and Lee Dixon have been involved in a heated debate over on social media regarding Arsenal's decision to sell forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January.

The Gabon international notched his 10th goal in just 14 games for Xavi's side yesterday (Sunday) evening, as they defeated Levante 3-2 to go 2nd in the La Liga table.

Aubameyang was cited as being 'disruptive' amid his move from the Emirates earlier this year, with question marks now being asked regarding his sale.

With Alexandre Lacazette the preferred option since his departure, many fans have cited worries that Mikel Arteta's decision could cost the side a top-four finish, a motion Morgan seemingly agrees with.

TV personality Morgan began by tweeting out to his almost 8million followers on Twitter that Arteta and the club had made 'one of the worst decisions in the club's managerial history', a statement Dixon subsequently disagreed with.

The pair continued on, as former Gunner Dixon replied: "Piers. Really. You are really making yourself look rather silly. Enough. Get over it. He was disruptive. Club always bigger. You know that."

Morgan continued, as he posted: ''I don’t agree. We lost a world-class striker because our manager mis-managed him. Quite clear from his form at Barca, where Xavi loves him, that he’s still a magnificent player. And we’re left with Lacazette who hasn’t scored this year. Terrible decision that will cost us Top4."

With their differences clear to see, Dixon followed with: 'Some players fit, others don’t. Opinions is where it’s at. Our coach decided he didn’t fit. We all have our faves. He quite clearly is yours. Banging the Aub drum suits who? You and your agenda which is fine. But doesn’t help anyone but you. I would say ease
