Phil Parkinson has his say on Torquay clash, new signings and Charlie Trafford

Wrexham AFC manager Phil Parkinson revealed his squad is in good shape for Saturday's vital National League clash away at Torquay United.

The Reds boss also re-affirmed his delight at the club's new signings, as well as revealing the reasons behind Charlie Trafford's departure.

Three new faces arrived at the Racecourse last week as Ollie Palmer, Callum McFadzean and Tom O'Connor joined from League One sides AFC Wimbledon, Crewe Alexandra and Burton Albion respectively.

With Parkinson's side facing some crucial fixtures this month, the Dragons boss is confident that the new players will adapt to their new surroundings quickly, with Palmer already proving to be an important addition after bagging the winning goal against Grimsby Town on his debut.

On the Torquay game, Parkinson said: "The squad is looking good. Bryce Hosannah has been back this week so it's good to see him back on the training pitch.

"We'll be training en route tomorrow (Friday) which we've done before as I feel it's the right thing to do on the longer away trips.

"We're ready, the window is closed and we can focus purely on our football. We've got a good squad with decent competition in all areas and we'll select the team accordingly for the weekend."

Parkinson was also delighted with the club's business during the transfer window, he said: "We're very pleased with the quality we've brought in.

"Ollie Palmer has got off to a good start, Callum McFadzean will be an excellent acquisition for us as well. It'll take a bit of time for him to get up to speed but we're hoping he'll be ready for the Boreham Wood game.
