Phil Hay now drops 5th injury worry for Marsch from Leeds' win v Wolves; may be worst of the lot

Leeds United correspondent Phil Hay has dropped a fifth injury concern from the 3-2 win at Wolves on Friday regarding Stuart Dallas.

The Whites staged a dramatic comeback at Molineux prior to the international break, with Luke Ayling’s stoppage-time winner ensuring Jesse Marsch’s side would stretch their gap to the relegation zone to seven points.

However, the victory in the Midlands came at a cost, with Patrick Bamford, Diego Llorente, Mateusz Klich and Illan Meslier all going off injured.

That meant that youngsters Sam Greenwood, Charlie Cresswell and Kristoffer Klaesson all had to play key roles in the win, but it seems as if there is now a fifth injury concern at Thorp Arch.

Hay shared a story on The Athletic on Tuesday, looking at what Marsch needs to do over the summer when it comes to an Elland Road rebuild.

The reliable reporter touched on the ongoing injury situation, adding Dallas to the list of injuries sustained in one night against Wolves, citing a knee-high tackle from Joao Moutinho.

Dallas, as he so regularly does, played through the pain against Wolves to help Leeds to a remarkable comeback. However, for Hay to now mention his injury in his story, it could well be a nasty knock.

The Northern Irishman has been a regular for the Whites since their return to the Premier League, starting every game, so you could argue that this issue could be the worst of the lot.

Hopefully, Dallas will be ready to go once again after the international break when Leeds host Southampton, with his presence at left-back vital, especially as Junior Firpo is currently out with a knee ligament injury.
