Peterson, Kalulu, Arriola - what happened to the 23 players signed under ex-Swansea City boss Steve Cooper

Swansea City face a big summer in the transfer market and their recruitment record in recent years has been solid. Russell Martin has brought in a number of players who have hit the ground running in SA1, and the same could be said of his predecessor, Steve Cooper.

He has since moved on to pastures new with Nottingham Forest, but some of his recruits are still in south Wales. In total, 23 players were brought in under the former Liverpool age-grade coach's watch, with the majority of moves working out well. We've taken a look at where they are now, including some of the more obscure names who have fallen off the radar slightly...

Signed on a free from QPR. Solid if not spectacular player, he left south Wales in January for Championship rivals Coventry City. The 29-year-old played just under 100 games for Swansea in his time here. Will be remembered for his goal against Cardiff City in the 3-0 win earlier this season.

Swansea paid £500,000 rising to nearly £1million for the former Liverpool winger in the summer of 2019. He joined from Dutch club Heracles. The Swedish international showed flashes of what he was capable of, but never managed to nail down a regular starting place and was sold to Fortuna Dusseldorf following a loan spell with Utrecht. He made just seven appearances for Swansea. He has one year left on his contract with the German division two outfit.

Signed on loan from Watford, like Bidwell he will be remembered for his winning goal in the South Wales derby. Returned to the Hornets but was promptly sold to Stoke City in the summer of 2021. Has played 34 times for the Potters in all competitions this season.
