Pervert dad sexually assaulted carers who were looking after his disabled son

A pervert dad who sexually assaulted two carers who were looking after his disabled son has been jailed.

Ghulam Hussan, 45, had enlisted help for his son for overnight care, to allow him to sleep at night. He was the principal carer for his son at the time, Manchester Crown Court heard.

During one visit in November 2019, Hussan, of Bury, offered to help one of the carers by giving her a massage. During the act he sexually touched her.

Months later, in April 2020, he massaged another carer and molested her. She immediately reported him to the police, but he denied wrongdoing.

However, following a trial, he was found guilty of three offences of sexual assault and one offence of assault by penetration. Today (June 16) he was jailed for 21 months.

Summarising the case, the presiding judge, Recorder Andrew Long said: “For several years you had been the principal carer for your son. He is disabled and relies upon you.

“With that you got overnight carers to look after your son whilst you slept.”

He said that he had ‘no doubt’ they felt sorry for Hussan and were sympathetic to his position.

In November 2019 Hussan massaged one of the carers, during which he removed her clothing from the waist up and touched her sexually, despite knowing she was uncomfortable.

“In April 2020, you did the same thing with another carer. Then again in May, you stopped her and gave her a message, and touched her naked body including [a sex act],” the judge continued.

The woman made a complaint to the police, and Hussan denied the offences.

Recorder Long added: “You were convicted after a trial, and a probation report described that you behaved in a sexually predatory way.
