'Perfect' - Manchester United fans name two players new signing Christian Eriksen will replace

Manchester United fans have been expressing their delight after the club announced the signing of Christian Eriksen.

A verbal agreement had been made more than a week ago but the Dane has now put pen to paper at Old Trafford. He arrives as a free agent after his Brentford contract expired in June.

He scored once and notched four assists following his January comeback with the Bees, just seven months after his on-field Euro 2020 cardiac arrest. The playmaker becomes Erik ten Hag’s second signing as United boss after securing the signing of Tyrell Malacia earlier this month.

The unveiling of Eriksen came just hours after their 4-1 friendly win over Melbourne Victory in Australia. United fans were delighted to learn that their club had managed to get a deal over the line.

Many took to social media to welcome the playmaker. Some see him as a direct replacement for departed duo Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard.
