Manchester City's hope of winning the Carabao Cup are already over after a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United.

Despite once dominating the competition, City will now go three seasons without lifting the League Cup after Alexander Isak's second-half strike knocked them out of the competition. Pep Guardiola's side dominated the first half but couldn't make their possession count.

From potentially leaving the club last year to leading them as captain, it's been a great turnaround for the defender who has now established himself as one of the senior figures in the group.
