Pep Guardiola gives Man City team news for Tottenham trip
Pep Guardiola is praying that Manchester City get through unscathed to the international break with an injury situation that shows no sign of easing up.
City are missing six first-team players for the Carabao Cup trip to Spurs, including the newly-crowned best player in the world Rodri. Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish, Jeremy Doku and Oscar Bobb have also been missing for the Blues.
City's first trophy under Guardiola was a Carabao Cup and they went on to win four in a row, but have not lifted the trophy since 2021 and now face a stiff test in the form of an away trip to Tottenham. Ange Postecoglou's side lost to Crystal Palace at the weekend and will be looking to keep their hopes of trophies this season alive.

Guardiola admitted the situation was not good as he hopes to avoid further injuries to his depleted squad. The City boss is still looking for a performance from those that are fit though as the club look to preserve their unbeaten run.
“[We have] few players. We are going to try and do a good game to try to go through," he said
“Always it happens. Last season we were out against Newcastle but played really well. Perform well, this is what I want, no injuries please and go to the last week before the international break in November."
