'People say we had it' — Kevin de Bruyne reveals Man City reaction to Liverpool title race
Kevin de Bruyne has admitted Manchester City are under no illusions in the title race despite claims the title was "in the bag".
City's lead has gradually been reduced by rivals Liverpool of late, with the Anfield club halving the gap to just three points ahead of the Manchester derby by beating West Ham 1-0. But Pep Guardiola's side still sit at the Premier League summit and are still to host Jurgen Klopp's men.
The reigning Premier League champions looked to be in another unassailable position at the turn of the year with the gap as high as 13 points at one stage. But a draw and a defeat to Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur respectively stopped City's well-oiled machine from moving out of sight.

United visit the Etihad this afternoon (Sunday), a ground that has been kind to them of late with wins there in their last three. Spurs ran out winners in City's backyard last month but the Belgian playmaker says they're still in a "good position."
He told Sky Sports: "We know what happened before when people say that we had it in the bag. We lost one game against Tottenham and that can happen, I think we're still in a good position to do what we need to do and you just keep going."
A win for the Blues would see them restore a six-point lead over the title-chasers with Liverpool having a game in hand away to Arsenal.
