People make cheeky discovery after rotating Audenshaw map
People in Manchester have made a cheeky yet ‘very important’ discovery after flipping a map of Audenshaw - and it’s blowing minds.
A Reddit user discovered that by rotating the map of Audenshaw Reservoirs by 90 degrees, it ended up looking like a pair of underwear.
u/Icy_Preparation_5514 shared their find on the Manchester subreddit earlier this week, with the post receiving more than 1.7k upvotes in just a matter of days.

“Turn Audenshaw reservoir 90 degrees and it looks like a pair of pants,” the post stated, alongside a photo of the map flipped around.
“I've lived literally 3 minutes walk away from it my whole life and never noticed it haha,” one person commented, with another adding: “I'm nearby and never noticed it either.”
Quick to throw a pun around, another said: “Hi Steve here from the Manchester Geological Survey, we would like to offer you a job paying £450,000 a year, starting immediately. Please type Y to accept.”
Another queried: “I think if you turned it on its side, all the water would fall out…”. But the poster responded: “It’s a valid point, but as you can see here, this hasn’t happened. The water has been contained in the briefs. Many thanks.”
Acknowledging the rare find, another congratulated by saying: “Thanks. A very important, humorous post.”
Stretching the imagination slightly, another quipped the reservoirs could also look like a bra if rotated further. "Rotate another 180 and looks like a bra," they insisted.
