Paul Pogba 'open' to Carlos Tevez repeat if he walks out on Man Utd this summer

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is open to joining another Premier League side.

The Frenchman, 28, is out of contract in June and it's believed Manchester City are one of the clubs that could realistically afford his £200,000-a-week plus wages.

The last high-profile player to leave United for City was Carlos Tevez, who famously appeared on a sky blue "Welcome to Manchester" billboard in the summer of 2009.

Pogba is expected to wait until the end of the season to decide his fate after recently recovering from injury, although United remain keen to tie him down to a new deal.

The World Cup winner joined the Red Devils for a British record £89million in August 2016, but he's won just two major club honours since - the Europa League and EFL Cup.

Pogba has failed to show the consistency needed for United to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League, yet he remains an asset to his current employers.

He is expected to receive lucrative offers from various clubs and has been heavily linked with both Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, as reported by The Telegraph.

"We will talk to United and see," said Pogba's agent Mino Raiola last September.

"For sure Turin has remained in his heart and he cares a lot about these things. The possibility of returning to Juventus is there but it also depends on Juve."

Pep Guardiola claimed he was offered the chance to sign Pogba by Raiola in April 2018, just weeks after the agent labelled the City manager "a coward" and "a dog".
