Patrick Mahomes: Kansas City Chiefs QB's 'absurd' touchdown throw leaves many stunned

Patrick Mahomes’ touchdown throw for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has left a lot of people in awe. 

Last night the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted the Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium, in a rematch of their matchup from Super Bowl LV when Tom Brady’s men came out on top over Patrick Mahomes’ side in a rather one-sided affair on the grandest stage of them all.  

The game last night was a little closer, with the Chiefs coming out on top by a score of 41-31 as the G.O.A.T that is Brady lost what is likely going to be his final game against the man who is putting up a pretty decent challenge to take that title off him by the time his career is over, acting as the ‘passing of the torch moment’ that we hinted at during our Week 4 preview. 

The game was high-scoring and featured plenty of plays that deserve praise and attention, but there is one in particular that got a lot of pundits and analysts starstruck.

Every quarterback is different and has their unique traits. Peyton Manning for instance had his control of the line of scrimmage that could leave even the best defense baffled as he changed plays at the last minute, Lamar Jackson has his incredible skill with his feet, and Aaron Rodgers has his accuracy that sees him hold the best touchdown to interception ratio of anyone in NFL history. 

For Mahomes though, his calling card in his NFL career has been the ‘spectacular play’, which has seen him pull off things such as the ‘no-look pass’ and in this most recent training camp, the ‘behind the back’ pass that he’s yet to bring out in a game, but you just know is ready and waiting to strike.
