Parrott set for Preston loan after new Spurs deal - reports
Republic of Ireland striker Troy Parrott is set to join Preston North End on loan after signing a contract extension with Tottenham Hotspur according to reports in the English media today.
Parrott has been the subject of considerable interest from Championship and League 1 club for a temporary switch for the new campaign.
After impressing with MK Dons last year in the third tier, he has also made considerable progress in the green shirt, including a goal against Scotland in the Nations League.
Despite still being just 20-years-old, he has 15 appearances for Ireland and netted four times.
Parrott featured during Tottenham's pre-season games, and while it was very unlikely he was going to be part of the first-team picture in the Premier League under Antonio Conte this season, he has been rewarded with a new deal and further time to advance towards being ready to feature in the top flight.
Multiple media outlets are reporting Parrott is in Lancashire for a medical, and subject to a successful outcome, he will link up with fellow Irish players Robbie Brady, Alan Browne, Greg Cunningham and Sean Maguire for the new season.
