Paralympics day two: Ellen Keane and Róisín Ní Riain in swimming finals
Ellen Keane's final Paralympic Games has begun with her booking a place in the final of the women's 100-metre breaststroke S-B-8 in Paris.
She will be back in the pool just after 7pm.
Róisín Ni Riain goes into the 100-metre backstroke final after 6pm tonight, following her fourth place finish in the 100-metre butterfly S-13 final on Thursday night.
Shauna Bocquet qualified comfortably for the final of the T54 5000m. The Galway athlete finished fourth in her heat, with a time of 13 minutes, 44.52 seconds.
Katie O'Brien and Tiarnán O'Donnell finished fourth in their PR2 mixed double sculls heat with a time of 9 minutes, 3.33 seconds, which means they go into the repêchage.
At the Velodrome, Ronan Grimes needs a top six finish to advance from the Men's C4-5 1000-metre time trial qualifying.
Meath Archer Kerrie Leonard lost her knockout round match to China's Jiamin Zhou in the women's individual compound.
