"Palace will try everything" – Pundit drops major CPFC claim involving Parish and Textor

Crystal Palace will do everything in their power to try and convince Wilfred Zaha to sign a new contract, according to former Premier League midfielder Carlton Palmer.

The £36m-rated attacker has been in outstanding form this season but will have entered the final 12 months of his deal following the climax of the 2021-2022 campaign.

With Palace making great strides under Vieira and the likes of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise on their books, they’re not as reliant on Zaha as they once were.

However, he has still scored 11 Premier League goals this term, meaning he needs just one more to mark his best ever return at top-flight level, although this summer represents the final opportunity that Palace will have to receive a significant fee for Zaha’s services.

Zaha’s last contract extension was nearly four years ago, but with time running out for the Eagles to secure his long-term future, Palmer reckons that the hierarchy at Selhurst Park will be doing all they can to convince him to stay at his boyhood club.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I think he’s enjoying his football and I believe that Palace will try everything to secure his services at the football club.”
