Paddy Pimblett posts emotional backstage footage after inspirational UFC London speech

An emotional Paddy Pimblett broke down and shared a heartfelt message following his victory against Jordan Leavitt last month.

The Baddy has released a post-fight vlog featuring the aftermath of the encounter and he encourages men to open up and talk about their feelings.

The 27-year-old has received praise for his interviews where he touched on the subject after the loss of his friend Ricky to suicide.

The Liverpudlian is shown hugging members of his team backstage, which shows a different side to the popular UFC star.

Speaking about his friend backstage, he said: “There’s no real words that can describe it.

“He was one of the happiest kids that you’ll ever meet, Slick Rick. He was the life and soul of the party.

“People like that think that they can’t speak to other people. They think ‘oh he’ll think I’m a little b**** if I speak to him and say that to him.

“I’ve had to do it. People look up to me and think that I’m the strongest person on earth because I get in the cage and fight with people when the battle’s up here.

“People don’t understand what’s going on, you can look like the happiest person in the world from the outside but in here, you might be struggling.

“People need to talk more, people need to break this stigma of men’s mental health. Talk, get it off your chest.”

Pimblett’s post-fight interview has reportedly seen an increase in men seeking help for their mental health problems.

The 27-year-old won his fight against Leavitt with a rear-naked choke, which was the same move that he used to beat Rodrigo Vargas in March.

The manner of the victory was extremely impressive, considering what the Liverpudlian had been dealing with in the build-up to the encounter.
