Paddy Pimblett, Molly McCann: Drake promises epic gift to duo after UFC London wins

Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann were part of a historic night in the capital as the Scouse duo both taste victory at the O2 Arena during UFC London.

Meatball was the first of the duo to step foot in the Octagon, defeating Hannah Goldy inside the opening round in brutal fashion.

She repeated the feat from her last fight in landing a ferocious spinning elbow to the head of Goldy, before piling on when her opponent was on the canvas, landing multiple punches to the head before the referee ultimately stopped the contest.

In contrast, Pimblett took his fight into a second round before he got the win over Jordan Leavitt. He forced his opponent to submit with a more tactical victory than his fellow Liverpudlian, but they both got the desired results just the same.

As is the case in any sporting event and other events nowadays, the betting market for UFC London was huge, with Drake, Grammy award winning music artist, getting involved in the action. He launched a staggering amount of money on the pair and shared his betslip on Instagram.

It’s confirmed that he bet $2,296,211.30 (£1.9 million) on Crypto’s betting database, Stake. This returned him a whopping 3,723,077.00 (£3.1 million) at a profit of £1.2 million.

Safe to say it was a successful night once again for the rapper, who has already pledged some of his winnings to the Scouse duo.

After the fight, Pimblett and McCann were talking to ESPN+ live, with them confirming Drake had won big on them and The Baddy admitted he’s been messaging him on Instagram.

During the chat, McCann said: “Ey, can I just throw out there to ESPN, Drake, did I say before? And I’m drunk, Drake is buying me and Paddy a new Rolex.”

Pimblett added: “He actually, we’ve just been messaging on Instagram
