Ousmane Dembele Got The Entire Barcelona Bench To Move
Ousmane Dembele might not be the most popular person at Barcelona, which is probably why he moved everyone else on the bench just so he could sit next to his mate.
However the club couldn't sell him in January, despite his very low asking price, so he'll end up leaving for free, and that hasn't made him too popular at the Nou Camp.
Dembele obviously felt he wasn't too popular amongst the squad either, as he asked six other substitutes to move seats, just so he could sit next to former Borussia Dortmund teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the match.
It is a transfer that hasn't worked out for anyone, with the 24-year-old hit by injuries and not being able to reach his true potential in La Liga.
Leaving on a free in the summer means the club, who have been horribly mismanaged in the past few years, will lose €140 million from the deal for a player who never reached the heights.
Aubameyang did make it onto the pitch as a substitute for his debut, but it was another debutant for Xavi's team who made an instant impact.
Dembele on the other hand didn't get on, though Xavi revealed after the match revealed he was going to use the former Rennes match, until Dani Alves was sent off.
"The idea was for him to come on, but I decided on other things because of the red card and the way the game went," the manager explained.
So maybe Dembele has more than one friend at the club, but he'll probably stick with sitting next to Aubameyang, until the striker is starting games at least...
