Orlando Pirates' mission to Nigeria sees PSL reschedule final 3 league fixtures

The Premier Soccer League has extended the DStv Premiership due to Orlando Pirates' involvement in Friday's CAF Confederation Cup final.

The Buccaneers are set to depart for Nigeria on Tuesday or Wednesday for the match against RS Berkane at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

The Premiership's scheduled match-day 30 will go ahead as planned on Saturday, with only the Buccaneers' fixture against SuperSport United postponed until next month.

SuperSport United are vying for a top eight finish in what has turned out to be a difficult season for the three-time PSL champions.

Pirates will return to South Africa on Saturday or Sunday before playing their final three league matches.

The Buccaneers entertain relegation threatened Maritzburg United on Wednesday, 25 May before travelling to Royal AM on Sunday, 29 May.

Shauwn Mkhize's Royal AM have shocked the football fraternity in their debut season in top-flight football. 

The KwaZulu-Natal club remain in the hunt for a second-place finish which will guarantee them a CAF Champions League spot.

Meanwhile, three days later on Wednesday, 1 June Pirates take on United in the final match of the season.
