Opinion: West Ham player ratings from wasteful EPL loss
West Ham were made to rue their missed opportunities against Liverpool at Anfield.
The Hammers were beaten 1-0 but easily created enough chances to at least earn a draw from the trip to Merseyside.
Midfield duo Pablo Fornals and Manuel Lanzini both squandered guilt-edge sights of goal after Sadio Mane had put the hosts ahead.

After the match, David Moyes described the display as full of ‘good performances’ throughout the side.
Despite the absence of Declan Rice through illness, the Irons were more than a match for Liverpool throughout the contest.
Both Lanzini and Tomas Soucek earned impressive 7.70 and 7.80 Sofascore ratings respectively.
Here’s how we rated the players…
XI: Lukasz Fabianski 5; Ben Johnson 6, Craig Dawson 5, Kurt Zouma 6, Aaron Cresswell; Tomas Soucek 7, Manuel Lanzini 7; Jarrod Bowen 6, Pablo Fornals 7, Nikola Vlasic 6; Michail Antonio 6.
Subs: Said Benrahma 6, Mark Noble 6, Dan Chesters NA.
One major blow to come out of the clash was the injury suffered by Jarrod Bowen.
Ahead of what is a busy forthcoming schedule, Moyes will hope the talismanic forward can make a prompt recovery.
