Opinion: Predicting Celtic's line-up to play Dundee United

After Celtic‘s huge midweek win against Hearts, the Hoops are back in league action on Saturday as they take on Dundee United at Celtic Park.

It is yet another big game for Celtic in the title race, as chances are the Hoops will go into the match seven points off the top of the the league, as Rangers are taking on Ross County before Celtic kick off at three o’clock.

The Hoops take on Rangers on Wednesday in a rearranged league game, but no one at Celtic will be thinking of that match yet, all the focus will be on making sure that Ange Postecoglou’s side builds on the win against Hearts, which has to go down as one of Celtic’s best wins of the season.

Even though Celtic are playing Rangers in just under a week’s time, the most important thing at the moment is to get the win over Dundee United, and that will surely be reflected in the staring line-up picked by the Hoops boss.

If we start with the goalkeeper, as usual it will be Joe Hart. He has made the goalkeeping role his own, and that doesn’t look like stopping any time soon.

In defence, it should be the same as the game against Hearts – Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt at centre-back, with Greg Taylor and Josip Juranovic as the full-backs.

Juranovic in particular was very impressive against Hearts, as he turned in probably his best performance for the Hoops yet. He will be looking to build on that performance against Dundee United.

In midfield, there should be one change from the team which played at Tynecastle, with James McCarthy replacing Nir Bitton, to give Bitton a bit of break before the game against Rangers. If need be, he can come on and replace McCarthy if things need to be changed.
