Ons Jabeur creates more history by moving into semi-finals with win over Ajla Tomljanovic
Ons Jabeur ousted Ajla Tomljanovic in straight sets, becoming the first African woman to reach the US Open semi-finals in the open era. The Tunisian clinched her place in the last four of the Grand Slam with a 6-4 7-6(4) win over Serena Williams' victor Tomljanovic. Ad Jabeur was the first to break as she moved 3-1 clear of Tomljanovic.

However, a double fault handed Jabeur a lifeline and she was able to make it to a tie-break where the Tunisian’s class eventually shone through.
