One-month warning for Tesco customers to get extra Clubcard points

Tesco customers only have one month to grab some extra points on their Clubcard. The supermarket giant is offering some customers the opportunity to take part in its Tesco Clubcard Challenges.

They could see customers earn up to £50 in bonus points. It is not yet clear which customers will be enrolled in the scheme - however, people are being urged to double-check their emails as they will have received an invitation.

Eligible customers will be able to take part in the scheme from now until Sunday, August 25. In order to get the extra points, customers will be given 20 spending challenges.

However, they will only need to complete 10 of these and can freely decide which ones they want to do through the Tesco Grocery and Clubcard app on Android and iOS devices. Challenges will also be tailored for each customer's individual spending habits such as being required to spend a certain amount of cash on vegan ready meals.

In total, customers could get up to £100 of bonus Clubcard points, if they're smart about how they go about it. While completing all challenges will give customer's 5,000 Clubcard points (worth £50), they can redeem them with one of Tesco's Reward Partners.

This allows them to effectively double the points to £100. Some of the brands included in the Reward Partner's programme include Thorpe Park, Cineworld, and Pizza Express.

Generally, Tesco shoppers get one Clubcard point per every £1 they spend on groceries, both in-store and online. Otherwise they can get a point for every two litres of fuel they purchase at a Tesco petrol station, or for every £4 spent on a Tesco credit card.

Those who really want to maximise their points could also get 2,500 points by linking their OVO energy account to their Tesco
