ONE Championship: UFC legend Demetrious Johnson secures brutal KO win
Demetrious Johnson, the former UFC flyweight champion, is still at the top of his fight game even if he isn’t with Dana White‘s company anymore.
Since losing his UFC flyweight championship back in 2018 against Henry Cejudo via split decision, the American has moved across to the rival One Championship.
He has enjoyed a successful career at One to date, fighting across their various Asian markets and reeled off three consecutive victories, culminating in him gaining the One Championship flyweight title after defeating Danny Kingad.
He then suffered a shock defeat against Brazilian Adriano Moraes in April 2021 in his first title defence. Johnson was defeated by knockout in the second round of their bout and has had to wait over a year for his revenge.
As you can see from the video of the knockout further down this article, he got his revenge in some style.
A big right hand was followed up by a knee to the face and that was fight over.
This was the first time in his career that Moraes had been knocked out and it is another scalp for Johnson.
