Omar Bogle starts: How we expect Hartlepool United to line up against Mansfield Town on Tuesday night
Hartlepool United will be hoping to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at Northampton Town at the weekend when they welcome Mansfield Town to Victoria Park on Saturday.
Graeme Lee’s men have enjoyed a positive run in the fourth tier since the turn of the year and are building towards a promising 2022/23 campaign.
The Stags arrive in a strong position to kick on towards automatic promotion after picking up a huge win over Oldham Athletic at the weekend.
It looked more than likely that the Latics were going to take a valuable point off of the Stags before George Lapslie’s, fortunate, last gasp winner put Nigel Clough’s men within four points of the top three, having played three less than the Cobblers in third.
Here, we are predicting one change from the side that was beaten by Northampton to line-up against the Stags…
The Pools have been fairly streaky this season and defeat at the weekend was very comfortable for the Cobblers.
Martin Smith replaces Bryn Morris as the sole alteration from the trip to Sixfields Stadium, Morris had been out of the side through injury prior to Saturday and was substituted after 64 minutes, the quick turnaround could be a huge ask for the 25-year-old, particularly with very little on the line for Lee’s men.
David Ferguson and Jamie Sterry are crucial players at wing back and have performed well being given greater attacking licence in a three at the back system, the Stags will go in as favourites with Hartlepool winless in four at home in all competitions.
