Oleksandr Usyk calls out Conor McGregor after Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou announcement

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk has playfully challenged Conor McGregor to a fight at Wembley Stadium, following Tyson Fury's announcement of his own crossover bout against Francis Ngannou.

Usyk and Fury have been on a collision course since last year but have yet to agree on an undisputed heavyweight world title fight. Usyk is set to defend his three belts against Daniel Dubois next month, while Fury will face former UFC champion Ngannou in a boxing match in October.

When asked about Fury's decision to take on the MMA star, Usyk jokingly told Seconds Out, "I have no ambitions beside one ambition – it’s to fight Tyson Fury. I saw that Conor McGregor put some significant weight on his body. Hey Conor, why don’t we make a fight at Wembley?"

Fury and Ngannou are scheduled to meet in Saudi Arabia on October 28 in a boxing match without Fury's world title at stake. The result's inclusion in the fighters' records is uncertain as no sanctioning body has backed it yet. However, the fight will have three ringside judges and will implement the 10-point must system used in professional boxing, although the number of rounds is unclear.

Fury expressed his excitement, saying, "This guy is supposed to be the hardest puncher in the world, but let’s see how he reacts when he gets hit by the Big Gypsy King. I can’t wait to get back out there. I’m looking forward to showing the world that The Gypsy King is the greatest fighter of his generation in an epic battle with another master of his craft. There is no one tougher than me, and you’ll all see that in devastating fashion on October 28."

While Fury's choice of opponent is likely to face criticism, it follows the precedent set by Floyd Mayweather, who achieved a record of 50-0 as a boxer
