Old Trafford transfer news: Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham 'on Man United's list'

West Ham’s Declan Rice and Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham are both likely to be on Manchester United‘s shortlist this summer, says talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook. 

The Red Devils had a quiet January, deciding against bringing in any new signings, but Crook has suggested that the next transfer window could be a completely different story.

While United did not do anything last month, it does look like they could make a big-money move for a new midfielder in the summer.

According to The Telegraph, the Manchester club will target Rice in the near future, though they face competition from rivals Manchester City and Chelsea.

The 23-year-old continues to shine in that holding midfield role, recording a WhoScored rating of 7.22 this season – second behind only Jarrod Bowen (7.27) in West Ham’s squad.

Ultimately, talk of United being interested in Rice comes as no shock, but you would expect West Ham to do all they can to keep him at the London Stadium.

Crook has told GIVEMESPORT that Rice and Bellingham could both be on United’s list this summer as they look to bolster their midfield.

Speaking to GMS, the talkSPORT reporter said: “I think Declan Rice is on their list; I think Jude Bellingham is on their list.”

Rice and Bellingham are both good players in their own right, but it has to be the first of that duo if he decides it is time for a new challenge.

Rice has been one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League for a while now. In fact, talking on talkSPORT, former England manager Glenn Hoddle went as far as to say that he is the best player in the division outright.
