Offer made: Newcastle submit big-money bid to sign 'exceptional' workhorse for Howe - report

Newcastle United have made an offer to sign Everton winger Anthony Gordon, according to a report from Football Insider.

Having been nurtured through the ranks on Merseyside, Gordon directly contributed to 34 goals in 58 appearances for the youth sides and spent the second half of the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Preston before returning to Goodison Park.

Albeit only a small sample size at the elite level on which to base a judgment, in the face of adversity last season, the gifted starlet was impressive, scoring four times and registering three assists in 40 appearances across all competitions in a struggling side.

Overall, Gordon was a talisman for Everton and earned a 6.89 Sofascore average match rating whilst winning 4.9 duels, successfully completing 1.1 dribbles and making 1.0 key
