Nunez, Nkunku, Vlahovic, Saliba: FIFA 23 upgrades predicted
With the newest instalment of the much-loved FIFA franchise fast approaching, thoughts turn to player ratings.
Whether it be new signings or players that are breaking through, fans are predicting what is to come.
Here is a starting XI of players who will surely get an upgrade on FIFA 23 following an impressive season, as per GamesRadar.
Mike Maignan – GK
Starting in between the sticks and there was a lot of worry in Milan following the departure of Gianluigi Donnarumma. His major sale to PSG was counteracted with the signing of Frenchman Mike Maignan, who played a big part in Lille’s title win. Fast forward 12 months, though, and Maignan was sensational as Piolo’s men lifted the Scudetto. Whilst Donnarumma struggled in Paris, Maignan is pushing for a starting spot in the French national team. He was an 84 on FIFA 22 and is predicted to be an 87 this time around.
James Tavernier – RB
Whilst Maignan enjoyed domestic success with the Rossoneri, full-back James Tavernier captained Rangers to the Europa League final. They may have come up short against Eintracht Frankfurt, but it was a great journey all the same. There is often talk of Tavernier moving to the Premier League as a prevalent goalscorer from right-back, but a new contract at Ibrox beckons. His rating is predicted as going from 77 to 81.
Jurrien Timber – CB
Partly due to Erik ten Hag’s move to Manchester United, this Ajax side is being picked apart once again. Young centre-half Jurrien Timber is remaining in place in Amsterdam as it stands, though. He was heavily linked with following his manager to Old Trafford off the back of a superb season. Timber will be duly rewarded with an upgrade, the prediction being a jump from 75 to 80.
Nico Schlotterbeck – CB
