'Nullified' - Sheffield Wednesday boss discusses how his side went about Bolton Wanderers win

Darren Moore felt his Sheffield Wednesday side nullified Bolton Wanderers and that his side picked up three points at a tough place to come.

The Whites went close to taking the lead in a tight opening half an hour which they edged. Liverpool loanee Conor Bradley put wide from a glorious one-on-one opportunity.

And not long after that, the Owls took the lead when the visitors capitalised following a big error which nearly resulted in an own goal for Bolton skipper Ricardo Santos. George Byers slotted home following that as Wanderers failed to react quickly enough.

The Owls scored a quick second not long after as Liam Palmer put them two up heading into half-time. Jack Iredale forced David Stockdale into action in the second half in perhaps the closest Wanderers came to pulling one back as they slipped to a 2-0 loss.

But for the Hillsborough outfit, they bounced back following a midweek loss at the hands of Peterborough United. He is pleased his side nullified the questions Wanderers asked them.

He told YorkshireLive: "It was a good away performance. Our work was good in and out of possession. It had to be that good coming into this arena. You know you have got to play to that standard to get anything from here.

"They have got a wonderful playing style. They ask questions but we nullified them as much as we could and we came up with two wonderful goals.

"There were some big performances today. It was a good collective team performance.

"We knew today that all of us had to be ready and play our part. I thought we did that in and out of possession.
