NSL announces expanded broadcast, streaming with CBC/Radio-Canada and its partners
With momentum from a strong first season, the Northern Super League doesn't want its fans to miss one second of action, so all 80 regular season and playoff matches of women's professional soccer will be available across Canada.
The NSL on Thursday unveiled an expanded lineup, including 10 additional broadcasts, with the CBC beginning its coverage April 25 when Ottawa Rapid FC visits Halifax Tides FC.
A night earlier, Vancouver Rise FC hosts ACF Toronto in an NSL Final rematch. Rise prevailed 2-1 in a memorable comeback performance before an announced crowd of 12,429 at BMO Field in Toronto last November.
Over 1.1 million Canadians tuned in across CBC/Radio-Canada, TSN and RDS to watch as Holly Ward gave Vancouver a lead it wouldn’t relinquish in the 68th minute.
In June 2024, CBC/Radio-Canada entered a multi-year partnership with NSL along with TSN/RDS, with matches available at CBCSports.ca and CBC Gem, and Radio-Canada providing French-language coverage.
For this season, the networks return as broadcast and streaming media partners. Game action will pick up late in the season on CBC Sports with four matches scheduled to air in September and three more in October/November — both legs of semifinal A and the Nov. 14 Finals.
Live streaming of games will be shown on CBC Gem, TSN+ and NSL YouTube.
