Nottingham Forest sent 'crazy' message over Morgan Gibbs-White transfer as Jesse Lingard point made

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have responded to Nottingham Forest's deal to sign midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.

The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the City Ground throughout the summer, with Steve Cooper known to be a fan of the player from his time coaching the England under-17s team. NottinghamshireLive understands that the move is made up of an initial fee of £25million plus add-ons.

The first £10m which is likely to be achieved with others proving more difficult. The overall total could be a little more than £40m.

Here is what Wolves supporters had to say...

"Can't argue with that price. Serious dollar. Shame to lose one of our own though. Good luck Morgan."

"Run to the bank Wolves. 35mil with add ons, robbery!"

"Shame to see him go. But that's crazy money, can't reject that, especially when you compare to what we've just paid for Nunes."

"25m or 35m is still silly money. Forest now have to either bench Lingard or MGW."

"We've played a blinder here."

"This is mental money for one good season in the Championship. Jeff Shi has robbed Forest here."

"I wish him well at Forest but £44.5m including add ons for MGW???? I’m still pinching myself! Nunes for same fee as MGW. What an upgrade!"

"Not a bad player but Forest have been done lol great bit of business by Wolves."

"Great bit of business by the club."

"A good player with great potential but that's crazy money and basically puts Matheus as a free.. Great business."

"At the start of the window, straight off the back of his Sheffield spell I assumed that if he left we’d get maybe £20mil tops… Since then, he has not actually done anything to increase his value and we will be getting up to £44mil? Jeff is having a masterclass so far."
