Nottingham Forest loanee makes admission about future as FA Cup cash boost outlined

Defender Max Lowe has suggested he would like to stay at Nottingham Forest beyond the end of his loan spell in the summer.

The Sheffield United loanee is spending the season at the City Ground, having made the move last August, and says he is enjoying his time at the club.

Aside from a couple of months when he was out injured, Lowe has been a regular starter and a consistent performer for the Reds, with his left wing-back spot key to how boss Steve Cooper likes to play.

Blades manager Paul Heckingbottom recently said a call would need to be made over his left-backs at the end of the campaign, given Rhys Norrington-Davis and Enda Stevens are also on the books.

Nottingham Forest’s brilliant FA Cup run has provided the club with a welcome cash boost of more than £500,000, according to figures from the Football Association.

The Reds reached the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time since 1996 when they saw off Huddersfield Town 2-1 on Monday night.
