"Not sure we’ll be seeing him" – Journalist drops big prediction involving young Wolves talent

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Bruno Lage is unlikely to select defender Ki-Jana Hoever in the near future, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The 20-year-old has endured a difficult campaign so far, and things went from bad to worse over the weekend when he had to be substituted after just 25 minutes of action.

With first-choice right-back Nelson Semedo sidelined with a hamstring injury for up to eight weeks, Hoever was handed a rare opportunity to impress against Crystal Palace last time out.

In what was just his fourth Premier League start of the season, though, the Netherlands Under-21 international had to leave the field of play early and was seen clutching his right leg.

“I have too many kids in my team that don’t work the way they should, that don’t prepare the way they should. Injuries can happen, but this one happened because he’s not prepared. I don’t waste time with guys who don’t work hard.”

With Semedo set for an extended spell on the treatment table, Hoever would surely have been hoping to stake a claim to become a regular fixture in Lage’s starting XI.

He told GiveMeSport: “He (Lage) built him up a little bit
