Noelle Healy: Defeat to Kildare will hurt Dublin

Dublin will be hurting from a rare defeat to Kildare, according to RTÉ GAA analyst Noelle Healy.

The Blues suffered a first defeat to their Leinster neighbours since the 2000 provincial final replay at Newbridge on Sunday as their abysmal start to their Allianz League campaign continued.

Dessie Farrell's side had numerous goal chances at St Conleth's Park but failed to score any of them as they lost their fourth game on the bounce, a result which leaves them planted to the bottom of the Division 1 table.

"In order for Dublin's championship to hit a gallop they want a good run in Leinster and if they're having hiccups that early on it's going to spell a dangerous season for them

"Kildare sensed that and you could see that in their celebrations."

As things stand another defeat in any of those games is likely to spell the end of their run in the top flight of the National League.
