President of India Droupadi Murmu also credited Praggnanandhaa for displaying the "highest level of excellence".

"Eighteen-year-old Grandmaster Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa has won the heart of every Indian by reaching the final and becoming the runner-up in FIDE's World Cup Final.
