No Haaland but De Bruyne stunner sends City to summit
A stunning Kevin de Bruyne free kick sent Manchester City to the top of the Premier League table courtesy of a 1-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
City went into the game without the red-hot Erling Haaland, and his predator-like talents in front of goal were certainly missed throughout the tie.
But De Bruyne stepped up to grab the points with a sumptuous 49th-minute strike that found the top corner of the Leicester net, leaving the Danny Ward with no chance in the home side's goal.
The result leaves Pep Guardiola's side a point ahead of Arsenal, who host Nottingham Forest tomorrow afternoon.
