Nine Manchester United youngsters train with first team ahead of Omonia clash in Europa League

Manchester United gave youth a chance as they returned to first-team training following their win over Everton at the weekend.

Erik ten Hag's side made it two wins on the bounce with a 2-1 comeback win at Goodison Park on Sunday evening, and it wasn't long before the players were back at Carrington for training.

United players were pictured back at the club's training complex for a session on Monday as they gear up for the visit of Omonia in the Europa League this Thursday night.

With a match against Newcastle also to come this weekend, Ten Hag could use the European tie as an opportunity to play a rotated team, and with it, give opportunities to a number of exciting youngsters.

Charlie McNeill, Joe Hugill, Shola Shoretire, Isak Hansen-Aarøen, Dan Gore, Kobbie Mainoo, and Sam Murray were all involved in United senior training, while regular first-teamers Zidane Iqbal and Alejandro Garnacho also took part.

It would still be somewhat of a surprise if there was heavy youth involvement in the match, given that United still have plenty of work to do if they are to secure qualification for the knockout rounds of the tournament.

However, with a packed fixture schedule and a few injury worries at senior level, there is certainly a good chance that some of those academy hopefuls will get a first-team call-up later this week.
