Nigeria, Cameroon clash in men’s football semifinals
Nigeria will meet Cameroon in one of the semifinal matches of the ongoing 2024 Africa Military Games (AMGA) in Abuja, today. In the draw conducted by the Head Football Commission, Organisation for Military Sports in Africa, Brig. Gen. Brahima Diabate, who was assisted by the Chairman of the Football event, AMGA, Abuja 2024, Brig. Gen. O.A. Fawsley, yesterday at the Media Centre of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, the four teams in men’s football, Algeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, and host Nigeria, were automatically placed in semifinal spots.
The draw pitted the Nigerian Armed Forces against the Armed Forces of Cameroon, while Algeria will battle with Equatorial Guinea.
Nigeria and Cameroon will open the last four games at 4.00 p.m. at the main bowl of the stadium, while the second game will be held at 6.00 p.m. at the same venue.
Algerian international referee, Benyahia Houssam will officiate the Cameroon versus Nigeria match, with Capilaine Kedem Brice of Equatorial Guinea will serve as match commissioner.
The winners of both matches will clash in tomorrow’s final at the same venue.
