NFL: Wilson, Stafford and Herbert pull off incredible throws with 'new' TNF football
Quarterbacks Russell Wilson, Matthew Stafford and Justin Herbert have all been showing off their skills as part of the hype for the new broadcasters of Thursday Night Football.
The National Football League has never, and will never, be a league that stands still. They are constantly evolving in order to get the fans a better product, and also to chase more money, which goes to them, the owners and the players.
One of those areas that gets a lot of focus for the league is their television deals with various broadcasters to make sure that the games reach as many households as possible both in the United States and abroad. In the United States, those rights have tended to be split between the main commercial channels of CBS, Fox, NBC and ABC (who take a lot of their sports programming from sister channel ESPN).
But as the years go on and the television landscape changes, so does the way the NFL decides to do business with broadcasters, with the likes of children’s channel Nickelodeon taking on some rights for playoff games in recent seasons, giving it their own unique twist on things:
