Neymar sends message to Casemiro about Manchester United move

Karim Benzema thanked Casemiro for his contribution to Real Madrid's success, while Brazil star Neymar wished his compatriot luck at Manchester United.

On Friday it was announced by the Reds that they had reached an agreement with the La Liga giants over a transfer for the Brazilian midfielder. It is understood by MEN Sport that Casemiro was convinced on a move to Old Trafford due to the personal challenge of winning the Premier League and due to the fact that he saw his future elsewhere following the arrivals of Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni over the last 12 months.

The fee for the 30-year-old is £60m potentially rising to £70m. Casemiro will become one of the best-paid players at United upon completion of the move and his salary will rise further should the Reds qualify for the Champions League.

His four-year deal at the Theatre of Dreams also has the option for an additional 12 months. During his nine-year spell in Spain, Casemiro has managed to win it all from La Liga and the Champions League to the Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.

One of his teammates throughout his time with Los Blancos was French forward Benzema. The 34-year-old took to Instagram to send a message to Casemiro following his move to Manchester.

Benzema said: "Case. Bravo and thanks for everything." Meanwhile, Neymar wrote: “Good luck Casebre. Catch, catch, catch.”
