Newcastle United transfer rumours as Eddie Howe linked with Arnaut Danjuma reunion

Here's a round-up of your Newcastle United transfer rumours on Sunday, 27 February.

According to FC Inter News, Newcastle are gearing up to offer Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen a four-year deal to lure him to Tyneside.

The Danish defender is out of contract at Stamford Bridge this summer and is being linked with a move away from the Blues.

Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all keen on a move for the 25-year-old Champions League winner.

There's no immediate sign of Christensen signing a contract renewal with Thomas Tuchel's side and could be available on a free transfer when his contract expires.

Brentford manager described the Dane as one of the best defenders in world football.

According to Calciomercato, the Magpies have joined Everton and West Ham in the race to sign Villarreal winger Dutch Arnaut Danjuma.

The former Bournemouth winger has scored 12 goals and provided four assists in 22 appearances for the Spanish outfit so far this season.

The 25-year-old thrived for the Cherries in the Championship last season with 15 goals in 33 appearances.

Bournemouth's inability to get promoted saw Villareal part with a club-record fee of €23.5 million last summer.

Danjuma is under a long-term contract with Villarreal until 2026 and has a release clause believed to be in the region of €75 million.

Howe is no stranger to the Dutch winger having signed him for Bournemouth from Club Brugge.
