Newcastle step forward for signing of Luka Sucic, as asking price for midfield gem emerges

Newcastle United are in pursuit of Croatian midfielder Luka Sucic, according to a report that has revealed how much RB Salzburg may want for him.

Sucic came through the youth ranks with Salzburg, playing for their feeder team Liefering before becoming a top-flight player in 2020. So far, he has amassed 69 appearances for RB Salzburg, scoring 13 goals.

The majority of them came in the 2021-22 season, during which he found the net 11 times from 43 games. He also provided five assists.

The 19-year-old has subsequently been attracting other clubs. For example, in April, Sucic was linked with a transfer to Liverpool, who have already signed several players from Red Bull outfits Salzburg and Leipzig.
