New York Giants: Daniel Jones produces embarrassing throw that should alarm fans

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has embarrassed himself in front of the fans during an open practice ahead of the 2022 NFL season. 

Daniel Jones has had what can best be described as a reasonable career in the NFL so far during his first three seasons. He has completed 62.8% of his passes, thrown for 8,398 yards which has yielded 45 touchdowns to just 29 interceptions. 

The numbers aren’t necessarily bad by any stretch, but for a first-round pick, and someone that the New York Giants traded up in the draft to get, you would hope that he would pop more than that, but pop isn’t exactly something that you can associate with either Jones or the Giants in recent seasons.

Since taking over as a starter, the Giants have gone 12-25 under Jones and are currently on their second head coach in the form of Joe Judge after they got rid of Pat Shurmer at the end of his rookie season, and now the Giants are entering what could be a critical stage of their rebuilding process.

The 2022 NFL Draft could end up being seen as a critical part of the next few seasons for the Giants, they addressed critical needs on the offensive and defensive line as they picked up Evan Neal and Kayvon Thibodeaux in the first round in an effort to hopefully protect Jones and take pressure off the offense by getting better on defense. 

However none of that is going to make a lick of difference until the quarterback play is sorted out, but judging by a video that’s emerging from over the weekend, it isn’t looking too good when it comes to Jones and what he brings to the table.
